[10.13.2010] Multiple Alternate Images mod officially released. It may still need some cosmetic editing but it is functional. Kaeliah has had an idea of epic proportions for the Adoptables Script! It'll be a few days before it's released but everyone should be able to benefit from it. I can't wait to show it to everyone!! weee!

Adoptable Pet Status Mod

Debated on whether to give this mod it's own thread or not but it was complex enough that I did. Basically it adds a status to your pet that can make your pet sick. When a pet is sick it cannot be leveled up until it is cured. The owner can cure their pets by leveling them up themselves. This mod has lots of room for edit and expansion so please feel free to customize to fit your own needs and enjoy!

Multiple Alternate Images

Took a little longer but yes, it is released and should be fully functional. It may take a week or so to get all the kinks out but it's there and It works!

.PNG Support

I did not see anything like this in the public area already, and I put this edit into play in my own site so I figured why not upload it and share it with everyone else who may want to be able to upload .png images for their adoptables.
Download the 'admuploadpic.php' file and then upload it to the main directory of your own site, replacing the old one. Create a directory 'png' inside the directory 'picuploads' and make sure the directory permissions are set to 777.

Edit Required Clicks for Adoptable Leveling in Admin

Somewhat self explanatory. This mod creates a new check box and text field when editing a adoptable level higher than 0. You must check the box AND insert the new number of required clicks in the text field below it. Obviously, don't enter any letters.
Download the 'EditRequiredClicksInAdmin.txt' and follow the directions.

Thanks for the mod, but shouldn't you tell us more on how to install it? Like telling us that we need to create a directory called 'png' in the 'picuploads' folder and such?

@Fadillzzz - Yeah I did totally forget that. *facepalm* Sorry, this is my first ever 'mod' release and it's just a little one.

@Teshia - Well when I was going to attempt separate items from adoptables I found there was no .png support and I was like O.O NOOOOOO. So I fixed it. =) Glad you like it, I LOVE your mods.

@PokePets - Eventually the 'item script' is going into a much bigger script that will include cash, gender, trade and shop mods. x.x the items was really just somewhere to start. But I can't wait to see how our scripts are alike and different. :D

@turkey - ^.^ thanks! I do plan on starting a very ambitious shop project soon. Really I'm waiting to hear back from Brandon on whether or not he'll let me use the MA's cash and trade mods so it's MA compatible, or if I'll have to make my own. But once I get everything figured out I'll post an outline of features and such that I'll be putting into it.

@PokePets - I like that idea! So like you can see who actually adopted a rare adoptable and who just traded for one, right?

No, just that you can see on a adoptable from a trade who the first owner (who the egg adopted) is.

The next small script I'm working on is one for up to 10 alternate images.
Well that and the item script... but I'm still waiting to hear from some people at MA.

Yeah I'm working on that one. x.x It's a lot more complex than I was expecting but I'm not giving up yet :D
And the way I'm working it is you'll be able to set how many alternate images you want. So you could go anywhere between
1 and 100 if you wanted. ^.^

any luck so far...? I know its not easy, I finally gave up on more than two alternates ....... but wow, it would be so great to have!!

I have come really far in the code but there seems to be something going wrong somewhere. I kind of know where the problem is, it's not allowing the adoptable to be adopted and I'm not sure why. x.x I'm thinking of going back to the beginning and trying a different approach but it's hard to figure out where the error is when I don't have a debugger or an incredible knowledge of PHP. I haven't given up though! I am going to try to find a PHP debugger I can use however and hopefully that will help. Sorry it's taking awhile. =$

Quick Update: I AM SO FRICKIN CLOSE TO FINISHING THE CODE!!! AHHH!

With the help of my lovely debugger, I have gotten past some syntax ';' issues. *facepalm* and the code itself is dysfunctional but it doesn't mess anything else up which is a good sign. XD But actually I am really close to finishing it, I just need to go over the code a few more times to see if I can find one last mistake and then I'll get on to posting a tutorial for installing it... Although this mod WILL GET ITS OWN THREAD because it's not anywhere close to user friendly to install. x.x

Oh thanks. ^.^; It wasn't really anything. I was making the mods for my own site and just decided to share them really. It was your guys' enthusiasm for this particular mod that made me finish it. Although I must say I'm feeling quite proud of myself for doing this when I hardly knew what PHP was two weeks ago. XD
