So does anyone play minecraft? Great game i highly recomend checking it out.

Me and a few friends have bought a minecraft server for three months and will continue to pay for it. It runs really good and can hold up to 8 players as of now. If anyone is interested post here and i'll let you join, you can do what ever you want the map is infinite. of course no griefing or messing with others stuff and you won't have to worry about your stuff. We plan on over the summer starting a great minecraft community with a working economy and towns with the various mods we have. we are running latest version 1.3_01 and we even got the nether working near perfectly. so if anyones interested let me know:happycbig:

Well, my friend has been playing for a month now and introduced it to me.

I've played a couple of times, but either under his account or using a "free" version. I've only done single player, and made "Waterfall Cavern," a little project I had where I dug a narrow chasm that "connected the land and the sea." xD

cool i would highly recommend you get the full version and you and your friend(s) can join us. it is a lot of fun building hotels, train stations, and mines. we are working on a full economy system and land buying so your stuff is safe. We will be progessing slowly as school is comeing to an end and revamp during the summer. so if ya want get in early now and get all the mod powers on the forums and server:smile:

Wait do you have to pay for Minecraft. Minecraft sounds interesting, what exactly do you do on it?

You pay a one time fee for minecraft. It is about 15$ tho its in british pounds or something so your credit card or paypal will have to charge bit more due to whatever the exchange rate is. However the game is on sale as it is still in beta, and you will recieve free expansions of it so its a good idea to act soon. You can play it free after that on your own pc in single player mode which is great, however i pay 10$ a month for our dedicated server that holds 8 people at a time as of now.

And we have 10 people that use it but never have we had everyone on at once to need bigger server yet. the benefit to playing on a server is there is infinite space so you can build/mine where you want and also visit and trade with other players. We build trains to each others bases/homes and to mines and cities. And there is always trading for iron, gold, diamonds, wool, food, leather, weapons, armor, and whatever else you could need.

I let people join completely free but as an incentive to donate for our server 1$ gets you a reserved slot on the server, soon you can buy more credits for trade, and not sure what price yet but probably 5$ will get you admin access to help protect the server or others that need assistance. Plus you can spawn items and have tons of admin rights. Regardless of donations i will run this server and admin it because i like the game. But for those that do donate to help run it they are rewarded those things rather than paying for it, if that makes sense.

I actually play Minecraft quite a bit. It's a slight addiction of mine.

Not to mention I have my own server that I host.

My Minecraft username is Inf3rnal and my server ip is:

infertioxstudios.com or 97.78.127.182

I keep looking at it and debating trying it out. I'm more interested in the fact that Duke Nukem Forever is finally getting a release...

I've seen the screens, it looks pretty awesome. :3

Then again I'm used to the old TSR era Dungeons and Dragons PC games (complete with 3 1/2" floppy disks...) ah, memories.

I managed a great find at my local Goodwill store. The four disc, seven game Masterpiece Edition game set for PC (yes this (http://www.amazon.com/Advanced-Dungeons-Dragons-Masterpiece-Collection/dp/B0002SLA5E) set) for three bucks. :3

Haven't installed them yet, but wow what a deal (steal?).

Think I may try Minecraft out, when I've money to spare. :3

Yeah buy it asap. I bought mine in alpha as well.

SMP has come a long way. I barely tell it apart from the single player.

well mine is 64.34.198.200:28465 we are just a group of 8 friends so nothing special. we are pretty spread out so exploring can be hard if you dont know the warps. I plan on making a forum and to expand the community so people can trade and share warps. we play survivor so every block is earned.

The first building you will see is my hotel. and if you follow the path/rails past it over the damn you will find my town. and we have a hedge maze too pretty cool actually. and tons of castles scatered around... if i catch you on i can give you the tour :3 but i need to get a more organized commmunity started.
