Using the element template i set up an adsense adzone and it never appeared on the site. is that not coded in with the template?

Yeah, you'll need to edit the template.html file and add this somewhere inside

:ADS:

^ Ditto to what Fadillzzz said, the ad system seems not to have been well-established.

Sorry, I usually encourage people to add their ads in to where ever they'd like them. :3

I'm going to post up a list of codes for adding things in eventually, :ADS: is the easiest to place.

what exactly is :ads:? is that calling a function or how would you explain that?

It calls a function. :3 I use my own designs for templates, so I usually end up with Google Ads & others to help out in more than one zone. :ADS: only pulls from one set of random advertisements that are not on all pages. :3

I really recommend that you keep ads on your own Admin account so you can monitor what's going up.

Ok so does it matter where i put it then lol? I appreciate the help, while my major is computer science i have decided to knock out all gen eds first. (general education courses) But after after this year ill only be in programming classes and i'd love to make some contributions to this great script :) Oh and can you please explain what you mean by this,

"I really recommend that you keep ads on your own Admin account so you can monitor what's going up."

so i guess by default ads wont show when an admin is logged in, and i would want to monitor it for inappropriate ads? However i fully trust my networks though one time i did try a new network and and showed a porn ad, topless girl on it, for a while and when i contacted the network they said i used a subjective wording and when they looked into it the word was cars lol. so yeah only use google. Thanks for help

There are no ads for admin, and a few other pages (that I can't remember). I like keeping an eye on my ads since my site is aimed at 13+.

As long as your network is good you shouldn't have to worry though. :3
