I FAILED

Okaaaayyyyy, sooo. I appear to have lost the admin account password and reset password isn't working. I say APPEAR to, because I know what it was and I didn't change it, now I can't log in. My site is still on 1.2.2, can anybody help me?

umm mind explaining your situation a bit more clear? How did you lose the admin account password? Id advise you to upgrade to Mys v1.2.3 though.

Make a new account with the password you want.

Open phpmyadmin go to the users db then copy the password from the user you just made to your Admin account. Cheesy but it works. :3
