Arcade Site Idea

I have an idea to create an arcade site using WordPress. We can easily find a good theme and I already have good hosting. I also have some good domain ideas which I will not share now.

Next I would like partners and this is what will make the site really work. I can give out editor accounts so everyone can post to blog and manage game pages. Each partner will choose a niche genre of games and will be responsible for adding those games and blog content (posts, game reviews etc...) The games will come from mochigames and each partner will have their own account and games on their pages. Mochi games pays for every view/play.

Here's why this is a good idea. With multiple people adding games and posts we will have tons new content daily. This will greatly help in SEO and in building back links if we all promote the same site rather than everyone have their own arcade site. When we create a facebook/twitter page and all partners follow it we will immediately have a huge audience.

And think of the other benefits if someone comes and plays a racing game from our racing game partner and then he goes to play a shooting game then both partners win and in the long run we all win as our rank goes up. This will also jump start our forums having partners.

Great Questions! I actually clipped that part from my proposal and now ready to share it as it works! Though as the site grows in Alexa Ranking, social followers, SEO, Page Ranking, etc.. we will have lots of natural traffic. I do plan on sharing the site with my little cousins and have them bring it to their elementary schools. Since arcade sites are mainly used by school kids. But even in college I see tons of people playing flash games in class!

But here is the initial dirty trick, I have a premium account at http://hitleap.com/by/Nemesis51. This is basically a really really good traffic exchange. It has a flawless plugin that rotates sites in the browser and doesn't use iframes! It also masks the referring site so we can't get caught using it. It is not bots but real IP address. I can set random hits per hour, I have been using 5-10 per hour. I can also set duration stayed on site. I have that set randomly to 30 - 60 seconds. Mochi ads need 15 seconds to fully load and get to game.

I have ordered 50 hits to a few pages at arcade.99webs.info and on average 20 impressions are counted so thats 20/50 or 40% 10 (50%) were from USA 5 (25%) germany and another 5(25%) from UK. I am assuming the other 60% of views were not counted as they were from lower tier countries. AS of now hitleap has no geo-targeting but having contacted support their implementing it soon.

mochi media provides free game content and pays .25 cpm so this should be a really successful project and I know it can get done if we have a dedicated group.

We can either do it all manually using wordpress or get a wp plugin/script to automate and have extra features. check these out. I wouldn't mind shelling out 60$ but as a group we could actually divide costs among us.

However I am focused on wordpress for its admin panel and SEO optimization and blogging. I think the blog having reviews and descriptions of the games we add will be a killing in search rankings.

yeah it is I got this completely free now. We will be using my host free, subdomain for now free, mochi games free, and a free theme, and free my arcade lite lol.

only thing is since the script is lite all games have to be imported manually but thats no problem. Demo site is going up at arcade.99webs.info hopefully you can see that.

I have couple others interested more people we have more hitleap hits we get.

Site will have official banner exchange ads with other arcade sites so as we get tons of hits we will also get real traffic.

Well I am thinking of going with godaddy its only 5$ a month and we get tons of free ad credits. Still working out details though.

I am pretty much cancelling this idea. Even after getting 1000 game plays my earnings were only 1 cent. To much space and bandwidth required and advertising a lot of people say its not worth the time :(

So I have better news and plans for 99webs
