are there tutorials on making the adoptable images?

I am getting my own adoptable site set up and I was wondering if there are any tutorials on making the adoptable images? I know most adoptable sites use 2d images.

Or can I use images I created in a 3d renderer? I am not good at drawing on the computer as I do not have the most steady hands.

You can make whatever you'd like. There are a variety of different styles. I'd check out the showcase and tutorials forums.
