Multiple variants?

I was wondering if it's possible to have more than one variant of a species with some variants being rarer than others? I've seen this thread: http://www.mysidiaadoptables.com/forum/showpost.php?p=33504&postcount=1 but for the life of me I couldn't get it, or the public profile required, to work.

Well within one species what you will need is something like a multi-alternate forms, which is planned for the next version. The thread you referred to, it was a different concept, it was rarity for different pet species.

Someone used to make a Multi-Alternate Mod for an older version of this script. If you know some basic coding, you may be able to get it to work with the new script, or at least get some inspiration from it:
