This isn't so much an adoptables question as a php general question, but does anyone know how to make an automated buy-currency-with-cash system?
I have the dual-currency system and store running A-ok, but I'm clueless as to how I can make a means for users to buy 'cash', as I call it, with real money via Paypal.

See, Arvyre's got two currencies; "Clix", which you earn when someone clicks your pet, and can be used to buy general items and pets. And then there's "Cash"; Obtained by paying real money and used to buy premium items and pets.

At the moment a user can pay $X and I will manually add X00 cash points to their account, but I'd like to make this automated. So, does anyone know how, or can at least point me in some direction? :)

As far as a automatic PHP script to do this, yes it is possible. But practical? Or Logical for your members to use it?
No, because it is far to simple to get the information from self made PHP scripts that handle money. You will want a script with a good amount of security steps in it, this requires actual money.
It is also something I cannot do. Thought you may want to ask Brandon when he gets back from his vacation.
However, you can use paypals Donate feature, then when you get a notification that someone has donated money, you can give them the 'cash'.
This is not only easy, it is SAFE AND SECURE.

That's what I said I'm already doing.

I'll see how it goes, It may be worth the cash though if I start getting swamped with donations.

Something to look into would be the PayPal IPN. A good tutorial is here:

I've not personally had experience with the PayPal IPN, however it is something I will probably be playing with at some point in the future to automate things here. It's a good place to get started though for handling PayPal payments on your site. :)
