I see, sounds like a complicated story. Not sure if MA staff want to share the history of MA to public, but of course I dont mind listening. Its getting a little bit interesting to me now.

Well I thought Andy started as vice-admin already, guess I was wrong. And gigi is technically not among the first group of MA residents? My badness, not good at guessing.

Speaking of history, lol, you ever know that my adoptables site Pokemansion was hacked in April 2010 and development was discontinued for more than three months? XD

Ansem joined in November 2009 and Gigi in March 2010. Starrypoke, Brighty, Kittsune and Ryan (DJ Chinchilla, used to be a global mod) have been here since the first 3 months of Myadopts. A few members I know of have been on MA for a very long time.

It's funny, Andy started out as a forum game mod before he became a Global mod. XD The only staff promotion I don't know of after the crash was when Andy became a global mod, I should ask him when he was promoted. (Clearly you can see I like the history of sites)

I see, I dont know this part of the history. So MA staff like Ansem, Starrypoke and GIgi have been on MA since 2008 or early 2009? That sounds quite long of a time to me. XD

No, Myadopts had the major crash them which swallowed up every site and destroyed all the posts and members on the forum. Myadopts had 2 major crashes. The first one was from the person who had the database of Myadopts other then Brandon decided to delete everything. I'm not sure how the second one happened.

Well they must've confused Rusnak Adoptables from MA. XD Rusnak Adoptables was founded in 2008, it was never active. MA was created by BMR in October 2009, so its not even one and a half year from now.

Actually MA was founded about 2 and a half years ago. I heard from a lot of extremely old members that it was a very dead.

I see, I dont really know about this lol. How active was MA when it was first founded though? I saw it had like about 20 new registration on its first day in public.

Well MA is indeed a quite user-friendly adoptables site building tool. Mys is not really the same as MA though, we are more of a public script/software, while MA is like a hosting service. To increase Mys' popularity, we need not only to add more features, but also increase its user-friendliness, especially easy admin control. If you ever wondered, Vbulletin has the most powerful admin system among forum softwares, which makes it way better than IPB, Mybb, Phpbb and any others. Sounds complicated, doesnt it? The idea of 'network externality' also explains why MA gets this popular. The more people use it, the more useful it becomes of.

Incase you were wondering, MA's community was formed on its own. It is quite amazing how this turns out to be. BMR did all these advertising work to get more people into using MA's hosting service, but MA forum staff were those who made an active community out of every MA user. To some extent, MA community's success cannot be cloned, it is a rather complicated story. I try my best though, and I appreciate whoever offer ideas and suggestions.

Mys is probably already more popular then Myadopts was when it first opened. It's gotten quite a bit of support from Rusnak and Myadopts. The script will get popular in time, hopefully, as you add new features and events it will get people interested. The more important thing is to build a community, like Myadopts. A community is always good for a support forum, as that's what makes Myadopts so sucessful. I don't post a lot now, but that's because right now the forum is mainly for coders/site creators. (Of course over time the forum will become more welcome to artists, critiquers/suggestors, and any other people that might be interested in this kind of enviorment) Also, forgive me about my bad spelling and replying so late, my spell check has been making me go to a different page and making me re-type this message a few times.

I see, congrats to both of you.

Thanks for your kind words. I have lots of plans for this script, and I will be doing an important project(not the decoration of front page, this only takes less than a day) for future releases right after Mys v1.2.0's official release. You guys/gals will see it soon.

I personally have no idea if the script will become popular, but I appreciate any attempts from staff and members to make this happen. Its still easier for people to make MA sites though, since they do not need their own hosting account on free or paid hosts. I am not interested in doing an adoptables hosting service, but it wont hurt for a dev staff to do this.

Okay. Speaking of Kae, Kae and I on Myadopts forums were randomly promoted to global mod. o-o She hasn't even come on Myadopts to see it yet.

I think Version 1.2 will increase Mys's activity, I'm going to tell quite a few people about Mys once Version 1.2 and probably post a topic about it in a forum I go on a lot. I can't wait till Mys is more popular and people start posting the sites they make like on myadopts, except of course, better sites. :)
