Pretty much it's this:
$winter = array(12, 1, 2);
$spring = array(3, 4, 5);
$summer = array(6, 7, 8);
$fall = array(9, 10, 11);
$month = date("n"); //1-12
if (in_array($month, $winter)) {
$stylesheet = "winter.css";
} elseif (in_array($month, $spring)) {
$stylesheet = "spring.css";
} elseif (in_array($month, $summer)) {
$stylesheet = "summer.css";
} elseif (in_array($month, $fall)) {

}

and you can do:
