lol hmmm, I don't think you would get into too much trouble. They'd probably just force you to take down the site. I wonder if you could make a deal to pay a % to keep site up. Just play dumb its up to the court ruling.
I know a guy who installed a null whmcs and was sued for $3000 but only had to pay 250$ for his own license key to use it. Was funny that the company actually nulled the script themselves but added a domain checker to catch people. He argued fair use that since he had it installed for a day he didn't make money using it, and wanted to test it out because their demo site was down lol.
