x10 Hosting Help
 

Ok so I followed the tutorial for adding MAS to x10 and it gave me a bunch of error codes when I went to complete the last step. Can someone please help me out? I need to know what to do with the latest version. A step by step instruction would be amazing.

What errors did you get?

I cant remember right now, I'll have to re-do it to get them >.< I remember one was a fatal error I think 403. There were three total.

edit: Now its saying it cant find the page...

Now i got another error DX

Could not connect to database, the following error has occurred:
SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user '(myusername)'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Is that the correct username/password for the database access? The user for your database might be different from your login to x10, check it by going to MySQL Databases in x10 control panel

I wrote down the password wrong, I fixed that and now it works ^-^ I finished the registration and My site is up. Now I have to see if it works... XD which I hope it will.

How to i delete the installation directory?

Also I can't log in? I just get a 404 error >.<

In the file manager, delete the folder that says install ^^

I cant find the file, unless I search for it. But when i do that I cant edit it. or anything for that matter

The file on my computer has the .htaccess and the code is in it.

Check the one in x10hosting, by going to File Manager, public_html and right clicking the file > code edit

Ah, it's a hidden file, add &showhidden=1&saveoption=1 to the end of your file manager url to see the .htaccess

Where exactly do I add that to?

EDIT: Yes it was, i'll do the admin thingy and see if it works.

So i clicked databases and it brought me to a screen that says

Where do I go from here?

If it's about the login problem, create another user through the Register page in your site to make it admin instead of the first user. To make it admin, go to phpMyAdmin, select the database you created, then go to (the_prefix_you_chos)_users, and change his usergroup to 1 (it should say 3 or something before changing)

the usergroup would be the uid? I'm not seeing a usergroup anywhere...

UID is the unique identifier, don't change it. Scroll to the right, it should be uid - username - salt - password - session - email - ip - usergroup - birthday etc...

Now that I changed it to admin I cat log in...

It's telling me that the user doesnt exist. DX I'll just try again...

Are you using the new user's username/password combination?

yes i was, I dont know what the issue was but after re-doing it It's now letting me log in thankfully XD lol

So your site is working? Excellent, remember to look at the date posted for the tutorials you find on this site. If its around 2012 or 2013 its probably still valid, but for old tutorials made in 2011 you need to be cautious.

So far its working ok, But I am getting error codes that don't do anything but are annoying...

That looks like the same error I get. I don't think it means anything; it's just a little annoying.

i know XD I just want it to go away... XD I get errors everywhere they dont stop me from doing anything but they are sure annoying. I get them with I go to edit the links it seriously goes on for miles before I can edit them >.<

Where are you getting that error?
