umm this looks strange, are you sure you installed Mys to the correct directory as you uploaded to your server? It seems rather weird to me that you have both installation and upgrade folders, you only need to upload everything within the installation folder through ftp. The upgrade folder is useless to you unless you are previous running Mys v1.2.0.
|
Well its all in the public_html folder like the guide said, and yes I was noobish at first and uploaded the whole thing, then pulled the files out of the folders and put them in the right place. -.-' The upgrade folder was left over, its not causing a problem is it? I can easily delete it anyway. Or should I just upload the files by themselves? I dont think that'd make a difference, but obviously I dont know much about this stuff, I'm here to learn. :)

I see, looks like it is not the cause of your problem then. There are three other possible causes of your problem:
1. Your SQL database did not exist from cpanel/phpmyadmin. 2. Your SQL database info was not entered correctly upon installation. 3. Your site configuration(such as domain name, script path) were incorrect. |
:D Yay!! Its working, I think. Thats awesome, thanks! I did mess up with the database info. ^_^' Sorry about that, but thanks again for the help!
|
You are very welcome, glad it worked out for you. Its rather hard to help with users who failed to enter the correct database info though, since it is not appropriate for me or other members here to ask you too much detail about these. Anyway, have fun with Mys. ^^

Hello, i have got a problem, x10hosting, with the installation:
Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'UNKNOWN_USER'@'10.33.248.78' (using password: NO) in /home/noobz/public_html/Installation/inc/functions.php on line 76 Error connecting to MySQL |
