PM bug after the downtime?

I'm not sure how this really happened so if anyone has any ideas please let me know so I'll know if I need to worry about this or if it was a one time fluke in the system.

After my site was back up from the downtime, and I switched my nameserver IP for the second time, one of my artists on the site received multiple PMs (on the forum) from me that was sent to a totally different user from months ago. No idea how this happened. Does anyone know? My users are understandably concerned about this.

This is really strange, it shouldnt have happened even with server downtime. Did you restore part of your database once the site is back online? If so, this may happen if the user IDs for private messages are messed up.

I see, I kind of thought of that too. But no, I didn't restore my site from any point. I'll check out the IDs and see if that may be the problem.

Edit: Yep, it looks like they've been thrown off again. I have waaay too many users now to manually go in and fix it. Is there anything I can do? Turn off member integration?

Nah I can fix the ID problem for you, both adoptables site and forum user IDs are at 386 now. So it shouldnt have any issues for newly registered users, but I cant speak for old users. If you need help syncing user IDs, I am here to help.

Also if possible, lemme know what are the users involved with this PM mess(the user that was supposed to get your PM, and the user that instead got your PM incorrectly). I will investigate further.
