Premium Membership - How To And Why
Premium Memberships
Why? You may have noticed strange orange names all over Mysidia Adoptables. This color signifies a Premium Member, someone who is a sort of VIP member. As a Premium Member, you get certain perks, such as the use of Blogs, and also access to all the Premium Member Scripts(and possibly later, themes as well). The forum here is new, so other perks may still arise. How? There are many paths to gaining a Premium Membership, most of which include contributing the forum in some way. There is a requirement as well though, you must have been a member for at least 2 weeks in order to be considered for Premium Membership. Now, here are some ways you can gain premium membership.
Please keep in mind, submitting something that falls into these categories will not automatically put you up for Premium Membership. The quality of your work will be considered as well. You could output many things that fall into these categories, but if they are all of poor quality you may not get Premium Membership. However submitting something of a very good quality, if even if it's only one, maybe two things will give you a better chance to gain Premium Membership. Premium Membership can be revoked if you remove your contributions, get suspended/banned or if you receive certain infractions for thing like insulting other users. Hope this guide was helpful to you, and good luck on your quest to Premium Membership! |
Yus, I was wondering how many different ways there were to be a Premium Member xD
And you forgot the payment method xD Hehe, I submitted 1 tutorial so far... I need to contribute more lol XD Thanks Kae for clearing my mind up a bit :meow: |
This is a great idea, and a very good way of letting people get rewarded for contributing to the community. Yay for premium members! :D

Thank you for posting this Kaeliah. There's one more thing that I am still not yet decided. I was considering if outstanding community helpers and referrers should also gain premium membership. I will discuss with dev staff and see what we can possibly do.
And you gals actually bring up a very good question. Why do I abolish payment method for premium membership and encourage members to actually contribute to the script or community itself to gain such privileges? XD |
Hmmm...
Maybe it's because you're just that epic? XD :happycbig: |
*raises hand*
The perks is really tempting; but I am neither a programmer nor an artist. However, I still would like to have the chance of donating back to the community here, or at the very least the person who created the script. So err... please do reconsider the payment for premier members? ^^ |
Well. the basis of the Premium Membership is contributing to the script or the community in some way. There are other ways to get premium membership and other talents needed as well. If you are active and helpful by suggesting things, or coming up with good ideas, or advertising you can still gain access to the Premium Scripts. Paying money does not really contribute to the community as there are many people submitting scripts to both the public and premium forums. Unless we were to set up some sort of system where the money would go to advertising or to paying those who contribute or something along those lines. Some of the contributers may find it unfair that someone is making money off of their contributions. That's kind of why it's merit based.
If you prefer to pay money for scripts, you should contact one of the coders on the Development Staff, as I'm pretty sure almost the entire Development Staff take commissions. Coders may also sell THEIR premium mods to normal members at their discretion. |
Should you add if you were a premium on Rusnak you get premium here? Because HoF (I think) had to manually change my group over since I was a normal member for a couple minutes when I first came here. :BIGO: Just so people who come back later after they had Rusnak premium they don't spazz out :wutno:
|
Famer should know who those people are... I was afraid to put that incase people would just start claiming... XD idk I'll have to ask him.
|
@ Gigi: Well nope, only premium members on RA who have submitted scripts or themes are premium members on Mysidia Adoptables. Those who did nothing but to donate to BMR would not be premium members here, unfortunately. RA's premium members, however, do retain their rights for copyrights removal(since this is part of the agreements reached by me and BMR).
|
Wait what? :ooo: I get that but I don't get why you're restating it :hmmm:

Oh, sorry about that. I was responding to this statement you made:

o.o Just out of curiosity, if you're a premium member here on MyA are you still allowed to remove copyright?
|
Well this is a much more complicated question to answer. Mysidia Adoptables scripts and themes are not made exclusively by me alone, so removing copyrights of these stuff will need consent of Dev staff and scripts contributors. We will need to discuss this matter someday in staff forum.
|
Oh I think I get it. :BIGO: Sort of :coloness:
|
Glad you understand it now Gigi. ^^
RA's premium members only retain their rights to use RA v1.0.0 and RA v1.1.0 without copyrights. They can run their RA sites without having to worry about the existence of Mys. This is under the condition that they do not use Mys and its modifications/themes posted on this forum. |
Oh! I get it. Wait so I technically can't use any of the Mys premium stuff :BIGO: Just the RA stuff? :displeased:
|
Oh nope, you are a premium member here, so you should be fine. ^^ I was referring to RA's donators who were neither coders nor artists. They aint premium members on this community, so our policy towards them is a lot more complicated. XD
|
Lol my confusion has peaked but I think I got it now XD
EDIT: Lol yep I got it XD Confusion over :3 |
I think there should be an option for people to become premium members by helping others solve problems with the script
|
Well, there probably is Fadillzzz. Remember Kae only said that those are some of the ways to become Premium member in the thread.

Well it is gonna be hard to define how users can earn premium membership through helping out with other members. Both quantity and quality matters, at least this is what I believe.
|
Hmm.... d'ya reckon this tutorial will get me premium?

It's a good start. :) There is currently no defining line between what or how much will get you a premium membership, it's simply given to those who contribute quite a bit and the staff feel has earned it. If you keep making impressive tutorials then you're sure to earn a premium membership much faster.
|
Okay then, a warning. Community watch out, I'm gonna bombard you with tuts!!!
|
I would love to be a premium member and with all the confusion I'm having I'll probably be around long enough to get two weeks membership. xD
I'd like to have a blog here just to help with the communication thing and I'm a bit shy about poking my head into all the different areas of this site all at once. For someone who's neither a coder or a programmer this stuff kinda seems overwhelming. I can do art though so maybe I can do a few tutorials, where do tutorials go? Speaking of copy right, if I have a page full of credits and links would I need to have all the users from here or would it be enough to have the copyright be something like " Programming and coding based off Mysidia Adoptables ©Copyright 2011-2013, with assistance from the forums." And then have a link to the site? I'd just like to have a credits page since I'm also fiddling around with Vpets a bit and I want to give credit to the server and host site as well. |
I think the premium member thing is kinda dead - I know they had a forum, but it hasn't been active since 2011. But if the blog is what you're looking for, then it could possible happen, you'd need to talk to HoF though.
