What is CHMOD? (read on)

When I use something on the admin's control panel, most of the time, it'll say "Unable to write to blablabla.php" ect... So I try to do thing manually and it wont work... How am I supposed to change things? Do I have to do something to CHMOD 777? What is CHMOD?

CHMOD is file permissions. In your host's control panel it should say for the files either CHMOD or change permissions or something like that. This setting usually appears in your file manager. You can also change this with most FTP programs.

Depending on your file manager, you either need to specify 777 as the option, or check all the checkboxes. Some files like levels.php and settings.php need to be writable for when you change settings. :)
