New. Stumbled here... please help

I stumbled upon this by clicking multiple links haha. I have a "petshop" on a site called GaiaOnline, but I've just recenctly found these virtual petsite and was wondering how it works, how you start one, where you the get the script, where you sign up for hosting, and all that jaz. I clicked on a site that had free script for adoptable pets and it brought me here. Very new... very comfused... someone please help :desudesudesu:

The basics:

This is a build-your-own script, you will need to install it yourself, you will need to edit, make the site, edit the layouts, etc, etc - so be prepared for a lot of work if interested.

You can sign up for hosting anywhere that offers free hosting, I suggest http://x10hosting.com/ which is what I use.

Once you've got it installed, you just edit the site - it's quite complicated though, and takes a lot of work.

if you are intersted, but don't like the hard work, you should try http://myadopts.com/ which is a much easier signup-everything-is-installed site, no editing required really. It's a great place to start, and you can use the script later once you are more savvy with the script~

^ Gloometh pretty much covers what I'd like to say already, so I wont be repetitious. This is a customizable script for you to use since you can edit your site to whatever you like, even though this takes skills.

I got your pm however there is my way,

You can host with me for free, I can install the site for you, and I can easily handle any small changes to your site that you may need. No other host, that I know of, can offer such support for this script.

As a bonus, because I am a computer science major and I enjoy working on sites, I can help with adding features like a chat room and maybe some other features you would be interested in. However there is no gaurentee for my availability and this will only be offered if I am interested in helping.

All you will need to do is run your site. That includes story, art, promotions, and administration.

Only bad news is I have finals this friday and will be on vacation right afterwords till monday. If you are interested in this offer please pm me your email, a desired password, and the name of your site. Also if you have a domain name, like literally own one then tell me and i'll give you our Name servers. If you don't or are not sure simply say you need a domain and i'll take care of it for free.
