Removing certain features?

There are some features that I'm not planning to use, and would like to remove from my site (mostly for organization issues but for security issues as well!). The features are:
-Promocodes
-User being able to change the site's theme
-Links to skype, AOL, mail, etc on an user's profile
-Breeding
-Pet spotlight
-Shoutbox/visitor message
-Making friend list public

This is a very long list, so I'd be fine with just a general explanation.

Thank you!

You can remove the links to some of these pages in the AdminCP without much effort. Then you can safely remove their pages and equivalent files in the 'view' folder, if you so wish.

promo.php
changestyle.php
breeding.php
shoutbox.php

and

view/promoview.php
view/changestyleview.php
view/breedingview.php
view/shoutboxview.php

There are possibly other pages, particularly files inside the classes folder, that could be removed but I'm not totally sure which ones or if they're safe to.

The changes on the profile page will require some exact tinkering, possibly over a few files, but I should be able to look into it for you. You'll want to:

- Remove social networking contact links.
- And the equivalent page allowing you to submit contact information.
- Remove the favorite pet spotlight.
- And the equivalent area that allows you to select your favorite pet.
- Remove the ability for just visitors to view a user's friends list, but still allow the user to?
- Did you also want to remove the profile comments in addition to the shoutbox from earlier?

Redoing the entire profile page is quite an undertaking, especially if, at that point, you'll want to disable the tabs entirely. Doable, as I've half done such and even put it some jQuery hacks to rearrange what order the tabs are in.

Anyway, I'll need a bit of time to figure it out for ya. It shouldn't be that hard, I've just fallen into a lazy summer lull of procrastination. :catfish:

Thank you for your help, and sorry for the late reply!

Youre completely on the right track! Please take all the time you need. If I find the exact files to edit, Ill add them onto this post. <3<3<3

EDIT: Ive managed to wipe out the contacts from the profile page and setting page as well, I'll probably explain the process better later! Right now im 'stuck' with removing the themes option, but not really. Are the templates function linked to the themes function? My guess is yes, but I wanted to make sure.
