Admin account doesn't exist?

Alright, I know I just asked a question on here recently, but it has not been checked for the new question I asked on it. I figured since this is a separate problem, I'd make a new topic.

Now I am having trouble logging into the site itself. I have set up the site, and my next step was to log in with my admin info and begin actually editing the site. However, it says my login info is incorrect. I've gone through the whole process twice now, and double-checked the info, but I still cannot login.
Any help? Is it something wrong with permissions I am missing? Or something simple I missed?

This might not help exactly with you fixing this, but if you register a new account on the site and go to the MYSQL and go to prefix_users and change the new user's group to 1 it'll make it an admin account. :) You can also delete the older one and such to be able to use the same name (or you can edit the name) It's what I did when I had the error installing before. :p It's probably not your idea of how to fix it but if you need a workaround there's one. :)

I had the same problem, and I did almost the same what Infernette said.
Seems it's a sort of common problem.

Yeah, this seemed to happen to me when installation was finished, but when I reset my password for the account via email it started working. It seems that there are solutions for different people, which is weird.

Some people said that they couldn't get the password reset to work.

I did try resetting my password and logging in again, but that oddly enough still isn't working for me either.

I registered a new account on the site to get around it, however on the MYSQL page it says doesn't list any other users, nor the prefix_users title anywhere.

Is there no actual way to fix this?

Tbh I have no idea why this is happening to some people, as whenever I create an account myself with a fresh installation the same never occurred to me. For the next version I will be sure to test it thoroughly and find out the possible cause for this error.
