What did you use to get started?
 

i am wondering what you use to get you started.on your mybb hosting i now know that i have to spend a good deal. of money i am thinking maybe there are others like me who would like to know how to get started sorry i am new to this stuff. like any hosts you recommend. thanks in advance for reading.

Well, I currently do not own a host, but I recall that I was directed here when I was looking into MyBB as I got more interested in it as I was with AEF at the time. There was a link here on one of the topics (the old here), and at the time, I was community staff on a Free phpBB Forum Host, which is what got me interested in free and forum hosting platforms/systems. I sent Brandon a PM as I wanted to make my own AEF script, and he sent me one back with some resources, tips, and information. To jump ahead, he eventually started development on the AEF MF script, and I took over the script and became the head developer as he did not have the time to develop it anymore (I denied his request the first time, and then I stepped in and asked, and here I am).
