I've noticed you can go into the database and view user passwords, so if you think doing that would help then go for it. Go into phpmyadmin and scroll down till you see "adopts_users" there will be other user files (about 3) beneath that, look through them till you find the one showing the password, i think it's in the one I mentioned but I'm not certain as I'm not looking at it right now. (I can't until my server gets back up)
I don't know if you can change passwords from there or not.. I haven't tried it and am afraid to.. I'm also going to go download the extension now that I've heard about this problem.
