Default Reputation System

The Reputation System does not seem to be getting much attention, so I figured I'd post some information about it.

This information can also be found by clicking the menu button, FAQ -> Board FAQ -> General Forum Usage -> User Profile Features -> Reputation.
(or click here)

How to Give Reputation
At the top right side of EVERY post, is a reputation button:
When you click it, a box will appear with an option to approve or disapprove, and then a box for you to leave a comment.

When do I give a Reputation
If someone makes a thread, or a post that you think is particularly helpful, nice or you simply really like, you should leave them a positive reputation mark. If you think someone was mean, or did something that they should receive negative marks, then rep them down for those posts.

Where can I see my reputation?
There are 2 places that the reputation can be seen. The first is in the User CP. In the User CP, below the subscribed threads on the main page, you'll be able to see your 10 latest reps, and on which posts they were made. The second way to view your reputation, is to click on the reputation icon on your own posts. You will be able to see all the comments that were left on the post and whether they were good or bad. You can view your total reputation points at all time using either of these methods.

Can I see other people's reputation?
Not in detail. If they allow it in their CP, you'll be able to see whether or not they have a positive(), neutral() or negative() reputation. If you hover over their reputation block, a message will pop up that will give you a better idea of what their reputation level is.

How much reputation do I give per post?
This depends on the reputation power. Higher staff members have a higher reputation power, so when they give you a positive or negative rep, it affects your reputation a lot more than when a regular user is. However I don't know the reputation powers specifically.

What if I don't want my reputation displayed?
Under the User control panel, click 'Edit Options'. You should see a check box that will allow you show or not show your reputation block.

What happens if someone is abusing the system?
Punishments may be given out for abusing the reputation system. Please use it the way it is supposed to be used. Don't ask for reputation, don't give reputation in return for bribes and don't bribe others to give you good reps. Be honest. :)
