Pet-Sim.Com
This is something about a month away [ or less ] but presuming I can get this going, this is what's going to be offered.
Pet-Sim.com will be offering a place for people to host their Pet Sites, based on the modified Mysid Script I will be using at that point, with merged breeding etc. Something like the old site we used to have .. what was it, MyAdopts or something? Where there were lots of sites being hosted?
The way it will work is this:
1. Potential Pet Site Owners will create/buy their own Pet art. That part they will handle, it's all up to them.
2. I will load a version of the Pet script I use for them, and handle the setup for them of the site and adding in the Pet images where they go, etc.
3. Any custom Mods will be available for a small fee.
4. As and if it grows, more will be available for a small cost to help with running things.
If someone wants entirely a free setup, they'll get the standard Installation I use for my own sites.
Might be a good way for those just starting to get their feet wet in this, or for someone who just wants to have their Pet art used this way. Lots of people don't code or do sites at ALL, and this would be great for them.
What do I get out of all this? First of all the fun of seeing what people come up with, and second, part of the free setup will be the agreement that the main site does get exposure and credit [as well Mysid too of course! ] and that gets the whole site out there more.
