Ok, thought it might be something as simple as the dollar sign, but I guess not.
Is this happening with each adoptable you have on the site, only adoptables of a specific type or only the adoptable of one specific user? Does the rankimages table in the database contain an image for the adoptable for each level? If an image path is missing this would cause it to give a false max level. Also, I may have found a bug in the script relating to this. If the above info does not work then try replacing your myadoptables.php file with the attached one and see if that works better.
