Try downloading winrar (it's free, they will try to get you to register later (costs money) but just ignore it, it's not required to use the program) then uploading the files into the public html. (My host won't support filezilla or fttp so I couldn't do this, had to have someone do it for me) then open the unzipped folder and move ALL the files into the public thing.
Side note, when it asks for the prefix they mean like "adopts_ "or "pets_" or whatever you want the prefix to be. I didn't understand that and when I first tried from the site I put it as "adopts_prefix" ... didn't work too well lol
