Promo Code Questions!

Heya, I have been posting a lot in here -_-

Anyway! I have a question about the promo codes... after finally figuring out how to make one (didn't see that they now have their own space in the admin CP XD) I made one and then tested it out. Do you know why it doesn't link to the adoptable page? (So you can name it etc.) It just says that it's a valid code, so-and-so has been added to your account, validating, etc. I kinda want it to lead to that adoptables page though so you can name it... (not have it, by default, being called whatever it's species, or whatever, is named). It would just be better if people could name them and see the image of it.. (like on the adopt page) I have a custom page for my adopt page and I want to link via promo's. (So have an image with blacked out adoptables saying, 'Adopt a ____!' Then when you click it it comes up with the adoptables image and the name option.

Would I have to just do it via the adopt page and just link to the page to name it? 'Cause I don't wanna do that... XD (I think I remember in a previous version you could do this with promo's..? I could be wrong though..)

Does anyone know how to do this?? :)

EDIT: Also, is there a way for eggs (the egg images) to not have a gender? So that maybe you only find out when it hatches? Or becomes adult, whatever you want.. :D Thanks.

you will have to edit the code to add the option for the name(no idea how you can do that) and the only problem i see with how the current promo codes work is that you have a limit, once the limit is reached no one can use the code, until you edit it and add more quantity to the Availability of the code, unless you manage to edit how the promocode code works and remove the "Availability" to have a kind of permanent promocode

Yeah, I saw that. I have basically just added the maximum number. And every so often I will just change the number back to it. And OK. Thanks! I don't know how I would do it either XD Maybe I might try taking the code from the adopt page file and see if that works...? I dunno XD I might need to ask someone to help me...

Do you by any chance know how to edit the profile view file with the stripslashes code? (Save me making a new post.. XD But I will if I have to ^_^) I am looking at it and it is not like the others and I don't wanna mess it up by trying to do something it doesn't like. It's just that when I am on the various tabs of the profile thing, if there is an apostrophe it has a slash. I have already fixed that in most places, just need the profile now :P

not sure what page you need to edit, the only thing i know is that every information you add to the profile goes to the database, same like custom pages.
HoF will know which one you need to change

edit: maybe is in the class_userprofile.php...

EDIT: Well, I tried your way but it doesn't seem to be working :/ I have been adding stripslashes to various places (obviously the ones where text would go) but, as I am no coder and am doing this on a 'learn as you go' basis, I can't truly understand the coding (so as where to put the stripsleshes). Whenever I enter it somewhere it comes up with an error >.< So i think I may need HoF, if he isn't too busy XD Thanks for trying to help though ^_^
