Well a very good reason why BMR's forums were spammed is that he does not enable email confirmation. Email confirmation has pros and cons, I understand why he decides not to use it. It does a good job blocking spambots, but some users find it annoying.

But he also installed it for the MA forums and there's still lots of bots D: It's strange really but we mods over there can only just ban them and hope it doesn't get worst ._.

Different kinds of Captcha codes work well as spambot blockers. Only the most sophisticated ones get past them and they don't usually target smaller forums.

Well it makes sense. MA is a bigger and active forum, but cant understand why RA support forum was targeted too lol.
