Default How exactly does breeding work?

EDIT: Nvm sorry! Did a bunch of testing and figured it out. Sorry to bother. <3

I'm just a liiiittle confused with the advanced breeding setting.

Trying to create an adopt that can only be obtained by breeding Creature X and Creature Y together. Creature Y is a male only species, so I put it as the Father Adopt and the other one as Mother, and left the Parents field blank like it says. I put the actual names. Am I supposed to be their species IDs instead?

Also, it creates the resulting child from them, but just the name. So I have to actually create the actual adopt like normal under the same name, right? And do I put it as like, promo-only so no one can get it from the Adopts page, or does it not matter?

I also assume the probability chance of getting the baby is basically like the percentage? So if I put 40, there's a 40% chance?

I think that about covers it... Thanks in advance! ;-;
