That probably is the reason then. The get.php page is
supposed to trick your browser into thinking what's coming out is an image file. Your host sees the file as a PHP file so I bet they force the ads on that page. Thus, the browser is expecting an image but gets an image plus the html ad code and doesn't know what to do with it, so it does really nothing.
That's probably what's happening. See if you can get ads disabled, even just for that one file.
