Okay FoM needs a theme to refelect how I feel the site should be. I love how simple magistream's, dragcaves, and Chickensmoothie's are and was wondering how much of a trouble it would be to hire someone to create me a theme in that direction. I can provide sketches of what I'd like and how I'd love for it to look. I can pay around $20 for it if needed. :)

I might be willing to do it, its just whether or not its with my skill level. Do you have a description of what you want - like, when you say simple, do you mean simple or minimalism? General layout, number of sections, colour schemes, graphics, etc?

With simple I mean along the lines of a big header image at the top of the page, with the little menu buttons below with their respective drop down lists, then of course the content, and the sidemenu links to the direct right side of the page content. I can provide a quick sketch of the desired layout within the next two hours if you're willing to wait ^^ Colors are light browns and with links in royal purples and/or some maroons, number of sections is like the current site's http://forestofmirrors.x10.mx/

$20 wouldn't really cover what has to go in for a theme.
For a very basic one, maybe. But you have to take into account the amount of testing goes into a theme.
You have to test on multiple screen sizes, and multiple browsers. So that it works for everyone who will go to your website.

I kinda agree, $20 is sort of outside a pay range, but I have like, zero cash, so I'll take it. xD
@Infernette, it looks simple enough. With the sidebar links, do you want them inside the main content area, or outside (the layout you linked me to has an outside sidebar, for example).
What sort of images or textures do you want? The theme you linked me has a lot of images and textures in its headers, content and background - is that what you're aiming for?
What sort of feeling or theme are you aiming for as well? Fantasy, spooky, clean, etc.

I honestly prefer just simple gradients and no images, a really light gradient would be awesome. If I feel that an image is purely necessary, I can always replace it.
Outside the area, but fitted to the text to make sure that it looks more streamlined instead of bulky.
Kind of faded scroll fantasy, but with a clean look. :) I can look into raising the price more, if you want .

Well, if you can give me a sketch, I can estimate how much time it would take. Mikiheart had a point - the theme itself is rather easy, its testing it that's time-consuming.
Give me the sketch and I'll have a thought - I'm fine with twenty, but I wouldn't turn down more. xD
When do you need it by? And do you have any examples of sites you really liked a certain element or look about them, so I can try and get a feel of what you really like?

I really, really enjoy the theme http://magistream.com/ has or how extrodnairly simple but nice http://dragcave.net/ 's is.
No real deadline.
Sketchy:http://www.ezimba.com/work/131126C/ezimba14333091106500.jpg Sorry for the crappiness of it D: If you need a better one I can do a digital sketch instead. :Q:

I should be able to do that just fine.
Three questions; is there a header image you want me to make? And is the footer stuck to the bottom of the content area or the bottom of the page?
How strongly do you want me to stick to the sketch - if I think something or some color will look better another way, you want me to try that instead?

Footer is at the bottom of the page, no restriction. You can edit it to whatever you feel may be better, if I was a designer I wouldn't need this XD
I have the header image already, no worries :)

How tall is the header image?
With the footer at the bottom - do you want a content area that fits the content (so that its never bigger then the amount of text) or do you want a "faux column", which is where the content area stretches to the bottom of the page, regardless of how much text you've got.
I might have to wait until next week to start - this week is a hectic mess of appointments, homework, NaNo and other busy, time consuming things.

Faux Column for the footer, header image is 500px high :)
No rush :)

The header image is 500px high? That's... excessive. In comparison, this image here is 512px high; http://icons.iconarchive.com/icons/troyboydesign/sea-creatures/512/Crab-icon.png That image is almost completely filling my browser window, I would highly not recommend making your header and menu buttons more then 200px, 250px tops - they are great in theory, but a person can go through hundreds of page reloads every single time they're on one site - you want to see content, not the header image.

Well I can always change it if needed, 500 is just my basic whatever :)

Well, if you could give me the header image, I can see what height would work best with what you've got? I might be able to incorporate more of it in somewhere else.

I'm using this, but it's likely to change within a few weeks:

Alright, thanks.
I'll get working on it in the next few days - I'm struggling to finish up NaNo at the moment.
